New from the Purple Method: Anonymous Workplace Reporting Tool

I’m excited to announce the official launch of an exciting new Purple Method offering: a simple, secure online platform for reporting misconduct that can be customized to your unique needs.

As you may know, April is sexual assault awareness month–so it’s a meaningful time to share the news about this new offering which we’ve developed in partnership with REES. When I first learned about REES’s important work on college campuses, I was excited to find a reporting solution that was truly trauma-informed and centered on the needs of survivors. With the launch of our partnership, the Purple Method is now able to offer our partners a simple, secure online platform for reporting workplace misconduct that can be customized to the needs and priorities of your organization.

I’ve learned so much over the years from my work with organizations big and small, global and local, to implement our unique 4-part method to address workplace harassment and misconduct. While there are many barriers to creating safe workplaces that cultivate trust, integrity, and inclusion, the one that’s stood out to me the most is the problem of reporting.

Did you know that even though most employees say they are willing to report misconduct if they see it, only about half of employees who observe or witness misconduct actually report it

Many employees fear reporting misconduct because they are afraid of retaliation. It turns out that this fear is well-founded: a recent survey found that almost 80% of employees in the United States experienced retaliation for reporting misconduct. This reporting gap has serious implications for your organization’s ability to successfully address workplace misconduct.

That’s where our reporting platform comes in: by providing anonymous reporting with two-way chat, employees can report misconduct confidentially. By allowing you to follow up on reports while preserving employee anonymity, our platform reduces barriers to reporting and helps you gather data to mitigate risk and inform prevention. And the best part is: it’s all completely customizable to adapt to the unique needs and priorities of your workplace or organization.

I hope you’ll take a few minutes to learn more about our new reporting offering and see whether it might be a good fit for your organization. If you have questions or want to explore further, reply to this email or head to our website to connect with someone on our team!

To safer workplaces everywhere,
