Welcoming two new team members!

As we look toward fall ahead, I’m excited to share the strides the Purple Method has made this summer to build safer workplaces. As we aim to support as many companies as possible, we’re always eager to welcome new talent to our team.

New Expertise

The Purple Method welcomed two new team members this summer! Interested in joining us? Learn more.

Aaliah Zonicle, Policy Director

Aaliah obtained her doctoral degree from Howard University School of Social Work where her dissertation brought awareness to a widely understudied area by examining the unique experiences and perspectives of Black women that have experienced sexual harassment in the workplace. You’ll have the opportunity to work with Aaliah if your company undergoes a policy review, seeks a new training, or otherwise has a need for her policy expertise.

Mee Hye Hwang, Compliance Director

Mee Hye has over seven years of experience in researching, investigating, and analyzing compliance matters, formerly serving as the Chief Compliance Officer for the Maryland Department of Health and the Special Safety and Compliance Officer during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. You’ll have the opportunity to work with Mee Hye if your company undergoes a policy review, brings the Purple Method in for strategic consulting, or otherwise has a need for her compliance expertise.

ICYMI

The Purple Method has a new e-learning training powered by EasyLlama!

We’ve developed a fully compliant, customizable Anti-Harassment Training that’s accessible through EasyLlama’s online platform. Employees pace themselves as they navigate through various interactive training modules, watching videos, answering questions, and most importantly, engaging directly with your company’s policies, mission, and culture.

Summer All-Stars!

Two super summer interns!

Each summer we aim to create a formative and memorable experience for our interns, allowing them opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the work we do as a company (and they always do!). This summer we were joined by Courtney Ryan and Anna Johnson.

Courtney is entering her second year of Law School at Syracuse University College of Law. Courtney is involved in many different student organizations, including serving as a member of the Women’s Law Student Association's Sexual Harassment and Assault Prevention Committee. Check out one of the projects she completed this summer — a new blog post on the implications of AI in the workplace!

Anna is entering her final year at Tulane University where she is double majoring in Political Science and Mathematics and pursuing a certificate in Gender-Based Violence. At Tulane, she serves as the Director of Response for the Sexual Violence Prevention and Response collective. Check out Anna’s blog post on defamation and how employers can foster a workplace culture free from discrimination and retaliation.

How can the Purple Method serve you this fall and beyond? Set up an exploratory call to share more about your workplace safety needs or reply to this email to set up a time to meet us in our DC office.
